Hey y'all!

My name is Shamonn. On our small backyard homestead, my husband and 2 children grow all of our veggies, raise chickens and bunnies. I'm about real life examples, real food, and everything you can do to become self sustainable. You can read and subscribe to my biweekly blog posts. But the best way to help me, is to share my blog and site with others.  My hope is to inspire the love for a similar lifestyle or hobbies in others by sharing my real-life tips and tools to make gardening and homesteading easy, understandable and enjoyable. So, are y'all ready to do this with me?!

This blog comes from my experiences. I wanted to start this blog for my people of color, not to exclude anyone else. But this is my way to represent US. I want to show you that there are many different ways to grow, harvest, and preserve what we grow with our own hands. ANYONE can homestead!

As a visitor here, you are part of a fantastic community. I want to see what inspires you so that I can be inspired. In this growing community, we should be able to learn from one another.
